END OF TIMES IN THE HEARTS:
In my opinion, great art should be popular. Not because I have a problem with erudition, but because I truly believe that it is possible to be profound, simple, precise, delicate, and still be popular. And that this is actually more difficult and sophisticated. If there is no reason to justify art, at least there should also not be a reason for it not to exist, then.
Are we wrong, walking towards any abyss? Of course we are. In every possible way. The end of times is imminent, collective, individual, and irreducible.
No one saves anyone. You can tell me about your pain: I simply don't care. I can tell you about mine: you don't care either. But if, by chance, you sing your pain beautifully, it's possible that the whole world will cry. And, at that moment, each one cries their own pain. Let's share, and everything will make more sense. And it will make more sense even if it doesn't make any sense at all.
If the question were "Why?", it would always be the same nothing. Let it always be for the things that don't need whys. So that one day, we can be more refined, erudite, and still popular, because people will be ready for it. Or, perhaps, we artists will discover that the idiots of the past were us.
I think an artist should touch hearts. Touch like a blind person touches an object and discovers it. Touch like a musician plays his instrument. Touch, touch, touch... However it may be. Give it a new and interesting meaning and don't stop touching hearts. And, if you come across an empty heart, take a damn ocarina from it and keep playing.
