Comments: Here we are at the Roman Colosseum. The first time I ever visited was back in 2016 with my father and sister on the first family trip since my childhood. This place is a totem in time, of greatness and preservation. And a reminder that all empires do fall to the wayside to make room for the new generations. Just as everyone dies, companies die, civilizations change. The traces are still here in stone. To learn and study. What went wrong, and what traditions remained? What will come of us and our great cities in a thousand years, let alone the next 100? Mirko met me further away from all the tourists and con artists. He sat on a stone in a garden where you can see the stadium and the gateway. He was going in depth of a project he was working on to expose the mafia. Mirko knew the danger he was in, and he still went deeper into the rabbit hole. For his work, for justice. What is the right thing when those in charge are corrupted? What is the answer when things are controlled by superior powers? Where is the truth and whose narrative are we living obediently by. When a man is given power, it corrupts. Like a white lie that turns into pathology. It is not suddenly, it is over time. Standards deviate, and there are no consequences. Where does the journalist, the artist make his name? To confront those dangers and give the people the truth to set them free of fear and rule. He thought of himself as a martyr for taking on this assignment. There is always a balance of forces, causes and effects that maintain perfect harmony; equilibrium. When chaos fits into order and broken again. Creation and destruction. Selflessness and selfishness. It is merely a dance on the grey line that separates both sides. Even though they exist on the same plane and made up from the same origins. It is all one under a Jungian sun.
