Comments: I woke up and started to go on a bike ride to meet with Isa and her baby daughter for the portrait shoot at Großer Tiergarten. Isa was walking through the peaceful park with the baby's carriage. She picked up her daughter out of the stroller and let her walk on the grass. We talked about Isa's new portrait project photographing other moms going through motherhood in Berlin. Creating a support group of mothers through her artwork. She told me a fascinating story about a man that was stuck inside her wall. For her this was the reason she told me she wanted to move back to Spain with her family. A place where she can feel safe and not worry about strange men falling from the roof into her hallway. We walked and shot a few still photos in the shadows of the trees on my Rollieflex. We walked closer to Siegessäule, the Victory Column at the convergence of the nature park and road loop. She held her daughter up proudly and with grace. We stood there for a moment, and then I noticed the angel in the background. I thought how special this moment was. A mother with her daughter, with a guardian angel protecting them from above.
