Comments: Maya was the shopkeeper under our apartment in the Stupa circle. She had warned us about local scammers trying to take advantage of foreigners like ourselves. She was a good one and it was her birthday! We bought some Ganesha and Hanuman gifts from her shop to celebrate and support her business. We sang her happy birthday and gifted her a Polaroid with her husband who runs the store with her. John, Ethan, Eli, and I packed our bags and set out for India. Eli had forgot to get his visa so he had to stay behind once we got to the airport for a couple days. John, Ethan, and I trekked onward to Bodhgaya to meet the children Ethan had worked with ten years prior and meditate under the Bodhi tree.
