Title: January 15th - 11:24 Medium: Super-8 film Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Resolution: 2880 x 2160 File Type: H.264 Codec / MP4. Comments: Art and Healing on Venice beach with Sheila Darcey. We first met on Clubhouse when we started a room together where artists got together to share their personal stories and created a safe space online to be vulnerable and honest. To share your heart and be heard. Art brought us all together, it was our vehicle to heal our souls from past trauma. When you share your story you let it all go. The pain, the grief, the great release. The talking cure is real. When you speak of what is difficult you've been through, you overcome it by owning it in that moment. Clean out the skeletons in your closet and set them free. Set yourself free from unexcavated grief. Of loss, of hurt, of all the pain that never belonged to us. We give it back to mother Earth. Where the waves take them from us like fruit plucked from a tree. For her to eat and nourish from our wounds to be made into energy for the sea. A transmutation from our bodies to the ocean floor. Where new life can grow from within us, and more.
