Title: February 1st - 16:22 Medium: Super-8 film Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Resolution: 2880 x 2160 File Type: H.264 Codec / MP4. Comments: We dance to honor the ancestors. We dance to respect the land and those who came before us. We dance to connect to the Earth. We dance to move our bodies. We dance to shift the energies inside and out. We dance in synchronization to be one with each other. We dance beneath ancient stone figures that have watched over centuries. We dance as a prayer made from our bodies to the altar where spirit meets Earth. We dance where memory becomes muscle in motion. We dance with each step as we carry the weight of those who danced before us. We dance to remember. We dance because we know that we are not separate from the stone, the sky, the soil. We dance to break the silence that settles over forgotten places. We dance to resurrect the songs that live in our bones. We dance to prove that the human body is a language more honest than words. We dance because standing still in the face of so much beauty and sorrow would be a betrayal. We dance to heal what was broken. We dance to become the bridge between what was and what will be. We dance as the living heartbeat that connects the distant past to an uncertain future. We dance because we are human and that's how humans move.
