Title: June 12th - 06:00 Medium: Super-8 film Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Resolution: 2880 x 2160 File Type: H.264 Codec / MP4. Comments: We drove through the night from Joshua Tree. Electric vision all the way through. Stopping at every gas station along the highway. We pulled up to the Grand Canyon the moment the light broke the morning sky. We found an overlook and got out of the car to head on the trail. The sun started waking up against the shadows of the gorge. The hollow Earth was a beautiful sight. The canyon overtakes the horizon. It encompasses you with its vastness. An ecosystem hidden inside the effect from a glacial phenomenon long, long ago. Carving into a crater over millions of years. We sat and saw other visitors enjoying the view. Ethan and I were observing the sky, the people, the light in the park. Until a German family arrived. They stood together holding one another. You can feel their awe. From what they see. I approached them and share what I was seeing. Asked them if they would be a part of the project. They agreed. Carlotta, Philip & Fiona re-enacted what they were doing before I approached them. They were embracing looking outward, together. It was natural for them. The ignored me and became themselves again. A family on vacation enjoying one another's company.
