Title: July 5th - 18:07 Medium: Super-8 film Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Resolution: 2880 x 2160 File Type: H.264 Codec / MP4. Comments: We met up with Kyle in Austin at a barbecue joint. And then to another. I just stopped being vegan at the time so it was the first time having meat in a while. I thought this was the taste of America and had to embrace the culture and our traditions wherever we go. Whatever we eat must be local. Ethan, Kyle, and I arrived at his favorite spot and ordered us up a smoke meat platter. It was busy. It seemed like there was a comic book convention in town all going to the same place like a big party. We went on over to Kyle and his wife, Avery, home to meet their cats and dogs. Their home felt like something right out of the Simpsons neighborhood. A lovely pink home with a vibrant green lawn. The pets came out and ran around their yard. I was able to capture it for the project. A housewarming gift. We were invited inside to drink a cup of sweet tea. Avery started telling us stories about lessons in her occupation at the prison working with inmates. She doesn't take shit from nobody, yet is compassionate to listen and aid the incarcerated citizens.
