"Wealth," in this series, emerges as an emblem of the id's pursuit of abundance and the display of success. Adorned with intricate jewels and draped in the trappings of affluence, the mask is not merely a face but a fortress, housing the desires for material gain and the assertion of social stature. It stands as a stark reminder of the id's unspoken yearnings for excess and the power that opulence wields in human interactions.
The mask's lavish embellishments and the chain's heavy drape suggest a narrative of wealth not as a mere means of survival but as a symbol of conquest and dominion. Here, Freud's insight that "the love of money is the root of all evil" echoes, reflecting the id's deep-seated inclination towards accumulation as a means of influence and control. "Wealth" compels viewers to confront the allure and dominance of affluence, challenging them to unravel the complex layers of desire that drive our pursuit of prosperity.
"Expressions of ID" is a collection of AI-generated portraits that explore the various facets of Freud's concept of the id, each image delving into the different primal forces that compose our deepest psychological drives.
