In 2006 the work existed as a digital grid of dozens of squares, each holding a fragment of the artist’s portrait. Across the tiled surface the head turned, tilted and returned, so that identity appeared only as a sequence of partial views—never whole, always in motion. The piece treated the screen as both mosaic and time-based medium, using early digital tools to split a single face into a field of simultaneous instants and to ask how a self could persist when it was already broken into pixels.
Twenty years later the same structure was remade as AI video art for the series Prompt Paradise. Generative models reanimated the original grid: the squares remain, the portrait still moves inside them, yet the motion is now continuous, the lighting atmospheric, and the fragments breathe, flicker and reassemble in ways the 2006 technology could only suggest. The 2026 version does not replace the earlier work; it lets the same fragmented self keep turning, now inside a prompt-driven image that looks back at its own analog-digital origin.
Prompt´s Paradise Series incorporates Artificial Intelligence as support to my photography and digital painting, brings Characters, Landscapes, Objects and Situations from a Brave New Fictional World.
