Despite being just 170km away from my hometown it has taken me 13 years to include Valencia in my Urban Geometry series.
There's no doubt Valencia is a wonderful city filled with amazing architecture, but for this visit I tried to skip the most obvious locations in order to discover something new myself as well. My first stop was the heart of basketball in the city. Valencia's team has been doing really well lately and Valencia has now one of the most modern and equipped sport arenas. 'Orange Peel' is a photo taken at the parking. I was blessed with great weather conditions so I could enjoy a beautiful light, shadows and colors - three of the pillars of Urban Geometry throughout all these years.
Orange is a color strongly linked to Valencia and its region. We are talking about the biggest producer of oranges in Europe, so orange is very present in its people's hearts and souls. It's no surprise that the Valencia Basket team wears orange jersey and so do all their supporters.
