Dead Mother

Birth and death. The eternal cycle. It is said that countless eons ago, the Mother gave her life to bring the world into being. Little is known of that story now, for few remain who can tell it. Only the testimony of the stars and ancient carvings in the temples of the old blood, beyond the sea of sand, preserve the echo of her sacrifice. We are all her children. And we were all born orphaned.
