A furious bolt fractures the orange dusk, its incandescent path drawn like a divine incision over the hills of Mocorito. I remember my son, three years old, using one of my cameras as we stopped the car on the side of the road to capture this moment. We were chasing more than storms — we were chasing a reason to keep going. This photo is that reason, framed in fire.
About me:
I am Alfredo Juárez, an Astrophotographer from Sinaloa, Mexico. I picked my first camera (a Konica Minolta) in high school. I felt in love with Astrophotography when I traveled 600+ miles to chase the Neowise comet back in 2020. Being there, in the middle of nowhere is a healing process for me, and I plan to continue doing it for as long as I can.
