> August 14, 2024 – Sinaloa, Mexico
We chased the storm until it vanished into the Sierra.
What came after wasn’t fury, but balance — the kind that only arrives when the sky has said everything it needed to say. That’s when Resonance revealed itself.
A panoramic sunset, captured moments after the storm broke apart.
To the left: streaks of tail lights on the road that brought us here.
To the right: the deep blues and purples of a sky returning to stillness.
Above us: a celestial divide — orange dusk bleeding into night’s indigo, mirrored by the silhouette of the Sierra Madre.
My son and I had been chasing lightning for hours. It was our first monsoon season as a team — our first as just the two of us. The storm was supposed to be the grand finale. But this... this was the encore I didn’t expect.
“Resonance” is the harmony after chaos.
It’s the sky reminding us that beauty isn’t only in the strike — it’s in what remains once the clouds drift away.
This piece marks a memory. A transition. The resonance of a bond forged in motion, in pursuit, and ultimately, in peace.
## About me:
I am Alfredo Juárez, an Astrophotographer from Sinaloa, Mexico. I picked my first camera (a Konica Minolta) in high school. I felt in love with Astrophotography when I traveled 600+ miles to chase the Neowise comet back in 2020. Being there, in the middle of nowhere is a healing process for me, and I plan to continue doing it for as long as I can.
