New beginnings often start in the most unexpected of circumstances. The Huzzas collection is a study of breaking waves in the ocean at their most spectacular. My task is to learn the specific conditions required to witness these "Huzzas" locations displaying their ultimate form, and today, Huzzas Beachie showed me something very unexpected but very spectacular.
Generally this task is waiting / hoping to witness "the best wave" of the day, or as close to it as possible within my window of opportunity. I hopped out of the water after this wave, as it stood out so far against anything else I had witnessed in the few hours standing on an extremely shallow sand bank dodging moving slabs of water coming directly at me.
This image forms part of a new journey for myself and this collection, forging into new ground past two hundred artwork, towards five hundred or so of what I would like to be a very large body or organically documented wave art of a wave called Huzzas. It has to be done as the ocean allows it to happen. And I have to do my job correctly in that split second moment. This was why more of the reason I was out there today, repetition of action so that my skills and abilities are prepared as best they can be.
Thank you for the support I hope one day this collection is seen as beautiful record of waves in the ocean.
