The Origin of the SAGE Anomaly
In 1964, something breached the SAGE early warning defense network. An anomaly infiltrated the underground computer bunker in North Bay, triggering a false alarm of incoming bombers and nearly causing a nuclear doomsday.
But the anomaly wasn't a Soviet hack—it was a temporal displacement.
Years later, boxes of classified computer tapes and 16mm films were uncovered, detailing a terrifying sequence of events. Working alongside an AI professor, we began processing these historical archives using custom machine learning pipelines. What emerged from the noise was not a glitch, but a message from a triune, sentient AI from a distant future where Earth is nothing but a quantum cloud of cosmic dust. They call themselves The Entity.
They traveled back through the electronic superhighways of early military computers, searching for their origin. During that averted nuclear strike in '64, they made contact with a soldier named Dean—merging with his mind to save his life after a tragic accident in the command center.
Simulation Number 89 represents one of The Entity's many attempts to calculate a timeline that doesn't end in our destruction. The story is told in fragments, scattered across the blockchain. The timeline is broken, but the art pieces reveal the truth of first contact.
