Collaborations with my 5 y/o daughter
Blood of My Blood is a collaboration between COMPUTERBLOOD and his five-year-old daughter, GLITTERGHOST, centered on the art of growing and never growing up. Made over the summer before she started kindergarten, the project grew from a shared process: some works begin with her drawings and are expanded by COMPUTERBLOOD, while others take shape through a back-and-forth exchange of marks, characters and ideas.
Presented here are twenty 1/1s, each offered through an individual 0 ETH reserve auction. They form one chapter of the wider series, alongside limited editions, the Paris Green Cans blind mint and the standalone 1/1 RECONSTITUTED BEAST.
Across the series, drawing, collage, animation and digital distortion turn family life into a strange mythology of monsters, memes, tenderness and low-grade apocalypse.
COMPUTERBLOOD is the multidisciplinary practice of Asheville-based artist Justin Wells. Working across drawing, collage, animation, glitch and physical assemblage, he builds crowded image-worlds where horror, jokes, personal mythology and handmade marks collide.
GLITTERGHOST, his five-year-old daughter, joins him as a co-author of Blood of My Blood. Her drawings bring their own characters, spellings and logic, redirecting the work rather than simply illustrating it. Together, they treat making as a form of inheritance: messy, funny and alive.
