Have you ever thought about how your perception of the world changes when you lose your sight? How do colors, shapes and lights transform? What are the feelings linked to the memories of what has been seen and what will not be seen again? These are the reflections of the artist behind the Faded22/ project, a series of NFT works that chronicle his experience of losing part of his sight after a stroke in 2009. In 2022, Bruno Cerasi created 12 digital butterflies, generated by an algorithm that translated monthly eye visits into colors and shapes. Each butterfly symbolized a month of life, hope and struggle. Today, the artist goes on sharing his story through a unique work that chronicles 2023, Faded22/ II, another year of change, adaptation and challenges.
