It's easy to look at ourselves and see only our flaws, the scars we gathered along the way.
Some are physical marks in the body, which most try to hide. Others are profound cuts into our mind, emotions and self esteem. Scars we hide deeper than the ones carved in the flesh.
Allow me to remember you: You are not your wounds.
You are not your trauma, your fear, your worse thoughts.
You're the sum of billions of events started on the beginning of this universe, and if even one of them happened differently, you wouldn't be here.
You matter.
I hope you learn to see yourself for everything you are instead of the scars you try to hide. And maybe these scars can become something to be proud of.
