The structure stands as it always has,
weathered wood holding the memory of hands long gone.
Its boards bear the marks of labor, of seasons endured,
of lives once shaped by this quiet place.
Behind it, the mountains rise unchanged,
their presence vast and unhurried,
as if they have been watching since the first nail was set.
Time moves differently here,
slowing in the space between wood and stone.
This homestead does not ask to be remembered.
It simply stands,
rooted in the land,
holding its place in the long story of the valley.
