To Be Free Of Despair

We yearn for better times Hoping for the things we dread to fade away. For the pain we feel to fade into memories. Sometimes we push it so far that we force our own minds to lose those memories as well Because the pain is inherent in them. What we don’t realize is that it’s the memories of what has been that keeps us focused on where we’re headed We must learn to channel the emotions that arise from our memories of hurt and pain into pushing us closer to the beautiful things that lie ahead of us and the ones that surround us It’s the contrast of how much better things can be that leads us to appreciate them even more. It’s that same contrast that leads us to be truly free of despair. AnjolaDave, 2025
