filip custic is an artist who aims to document and represent his present and near future. Anticipating that humans will naturally evolve into a bionic, technology-filled version of themselves, he observes this evolution and becomes part of it by creating the "bolso de pantalla" series.
The handbag as an object captures filip's attention because it is one of the most expensive products in the fashion industry and a luxury item. Handbags are highly sought-after, elevated objects that have moved away from their original function of storing things. Finding this evolution ironic and abstract, filip takes it a step further by incorporating a screen symbolizing the delirium of our present. He got inspiration for this series from something he learnt back when he studied marketing and publicity: a person carrying a bag with a logo is a walking advertisement. Instead of communicating a brand, filip uses these handbags to communicate his own message. In the case of bolso de pantalla 12:34, it communicates a universal message: quantum love.
A 58-minute 4K single-channel video will be provided to the collector.
