Where do I go from travel from here? Do I drink another glass of Scotch Whiskey? Burning the midnight oil while the moon is parked high in the night sky. Listening to Dizzy Gillespie. I was fortunate to see him play live in Rochester, NY. I have taken trumpet classes before, and the first rule is to keep your cheeks in. Dizzy obviously was self-taught. His cheeks while blaring out the most iconic sounds of s trumpet I will never forget. My mother Joyce was sitting right next to me, front row seats in a small club. I close my eyes sitting in a cabin in Utah thinking about those moments.
God I was lucky to see, and hear a legend play.
