ULTRA POP VENUS

ULTRA POP VENUS - Andrea Crespi, 2022 "Ultra Pop Venus" is a work that explores the potential of digital art in the contemporary era. Andy Warhol in the sixties transformed the face of Marilyn Monroe into an icon of American society using the serial repetition of a painting representing the actress. The repetition of the classical character, reinterpreted in a pop way, becomes digitally exasperated, transforming Venus de Milo's face into a pixelated pattern until deprived of its own identity. Ultra Pop Venus is the result of a Dynamo Art Factory workshop created by Andrea Crespi together with Dynamo Camp children that took place in summer 2022.
