In my creative process, I made a deliberate decision to draw inspiration from the five distinct pentagonal patterns that were prevalent during the Safavid period. These patterns, known for their geometric structure, have a rich historical and cultural significance. However, what truly captivates my artistic sensibilities is the interplay between this inherent geometric perfection and the beauty that arises from irregularity.
It's this contrast between the structured, precisely defined pentagonal motifs and the irregular, more organic elements that allows my work to transcend the boundaries of tradition. The irregularity introduces an element of unpredictability and a touch of imperfection that, in my view, adds depth and character to the patterns. This deviation from the purely geometric grants my art a unique personality, infusing it with a sense of humanity and the impermanence of time.
