Art Is Therapy — JMV
This image represents a quiet moment in my journey—standing above San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge stretching across the landscape, looking outward but also reflecting inward.
For me, Art Is Therapy is about more than creating beautiful photographs. Photography gives me a reason to move, explore, confront fears, and experience places that pull me outside of everyday life. Sometimes the therapy isn't found in taking the photograph—it is found in the journey that brought me there.
In this frame, I am facing away from the camera, almost anonymous against the scale of the city, ocean, and bridge. The Golden Gate becomes more than a landmark. It feels like a symbol of crossing from one chapter into another—leaving certain things behind while continuing toward whatever comes next.
