From a time when life was completely flipped upside down, I took myself to this wonder of the world with no idea what I was going too. Upon arrival I was speechless at the scale of the valley. That El Capitan towers over a thousand metres high. This was taken three years into ophotography journey at a time when y focus was on the land, not the ocean.
I spent the next ten days hiking, climbing, learning and even skydiving with some professional climbers I became friends with. Upon my exploration of the discovery centre I learned of the famous Ansell Adams and his black and white landscape photography that were simply incredible. This image is in black and white to pay homage to those that paved the way before me.
If you have the opportunity to stand yourself infront of these gigantic walls of granite I highly recommend it.
