My very first ever seeing an Echidna in the wild
It was very brief, He trotted across the gravel road infront of me, I did not want to harass him so I left him be and these are the only record I have.
These are such gentle creatures. They are an egg laying mammal that potters around looking for ants and insects to slurp up. Its only down to human disturbance that I would have come across this amazing little creature as we remove their natural habitat for farming.
