The beginning of a very recent morning where I just didn't read the play correctly. Id come down on the promise of a small window of favourable winds, which is hard to come by at this time of year, hoping to see a new Huzzas location, But Id never tried to get across too it.
A heatwave in the state cause instability and upon waking after a very bad sleep I emerged into a swarm of mosquitoes unlike anything I have experienced, through the squad of mosquitoes a beautiful pre sunrise was glowing. We hurriedly got ready, my jetski performing correctly was taking most of my mind and the winds had not swing or dropped at our 4am launch, which meant we had to punch out into it.
After dropping the jetski in the water I quickly took a photo of the sky's reflection off the surface of the water where we were launching, and put it back into my backpack and clambered onto the ski
All of a sudden the trip time essentially doubled, if not tripled while racing towards an incredible sunrise moment, not yet at our destination. It glowed for 10 minutes, then disappeared. I plodded on getting blasted in the face by near on every chop of the ocean, still extremely messy from the day before.
Upon arrival, it was clear the wind was not going to do as predicted. monitored the wave which seemed to have so much potential, but was not good whatsoever. Would seem it is going to require a very specific set of conditions to properly showcase itself, and then turned around and headed back.
