The Activation

In the year 2487, earth does not resemble the green utopia we once knew. Long uninhabited, only whispers of what it once was remain. Through the ancient ruins, sculptures and artifacts left by human ancestors, they speak to us of a power long lost. One that transforms worlds through creation and destruction. They told us of our fate and pointed to the stars. So we followed to try and save what remained. Light years across the blanket of space in search of an answer, we finally return. Setting this key in its rightful place, the device set in stone, rises, spins, and ignites with a glowing green light. From the center of the statue a river of green flows. Flowers bloom, soil enriched, and sprouting trees cascade the ruins of the temple before us. A fog of moisture rolls in rising the grass under our feet. A fountain of life undoing the damage done. Within time, this oasis should spread to the rest of the world. We stand here in awe of the activation of new life.
