Oceanic

The oceanic experience in psychoanalysis goes by two notions: the oceanic as a joyful, connective, integrative experience; or, the oceanic as a defensive, infantile and dissociative encounter. In this scene the body comes and goes infinitely, never holding its form, reflecting a kind of precarious relationship between the Subject and the integrity of its body. As the body is continuously annihilated, the Subject gives no obvious internalization of the experience through it's body language. The loop was entirely animated in 3D, with sound design by the musician Mental Arson.
