Pyraminder is a "Peer Reminder". It reminds those who gather around it of what is lurking in their subconscious, though in the 2D plane only 2 entities at a time can get this reading done, at which point only the elements of the subconscious common to both parties are shown. In this instance, SeeHorse the bachelor & DoubleHatter (with his 2 kids) pay Pyraminder a visit. SeeHorse likes what he sees, in part to the influence of his sentient nose "Noseman Gazer", but DoubleHatter not so much. Perhaps it's because DoubleHatter left the parts of him he sees behind once he settled down.
