MASERATI: THE LAP THAT MADE A LEGEND

Officially licensed and endorsed by Maserati, a Fine Art created by European collective Automobilist. Capturing Maserati’s early racing history is the Fine Art of Juan Manuel Fangio’s most famous victory in the 1957 German Grand Prix driving the Maserati 250F. One of the Maserati team’s mechanics dropped, and then had to find, a wheel nut, costing Fangio a lot of time. He subsequently rejoined in third, a massive 48 seconds behind P2. For most drivers, there would have been no way back. But Fangio was in a class of his own. His fightback as seen from the ‘camera’ of the race leader Mike Hawthorn is depicted in the artwork, as the 250F closed in for the lead and eventual win - an image and view impossible to capture in the 1950s.
