As a freshman in college I thought I had my life all figured out. I was going to spend my 4 years there, graduate, get drafted, and have a long professional career afterwards. That freshman year turned into quite the struggle. At the end of the year, due to many circumstances, I was cut from the baseball team. Safe to say I was crushed and really didn’t know where to go from there. All I knew was I would go play ball at a junior college and probably call it quits after. Ultimately, getting cut was one of the best things that could have ever happened to me. It opened so many new doors, presented me with new opportunities, as well as excel my baseball career even further. It was truly a blessing in disguise and was really the escape I didn’t know I needed. This was the inspiration behind “Taking the Leap”.
