Remember, you picked it all. Your planet, your country, name, birthday, avatar, level of difficulty etc. It was you all along. When you're born you develop a model of reality. We call that model - ego. And that ego is your map, software for this incarnation. It's who you think you are as a separate entity, what you're doing about it and who everybody else is in relation to that. It's ego structure. It feels real in this particular dreamscape.
