traveling through infinite nostalgia

(iv7) nostalgia: sentimentality for the past. this piece aims to portray that feeling. specifically the type of nostalgia a person might experience while driving alone, which happens a lot. everyone has memories they wish they could live through again. when experiencing nostalgia, there's a sense of loss, mainly because the memory you are recalling existed at one point in time, but is gone. we tend to think about the times we've spent with close friends or loved ones, maybe a family reunion, or important events, such as a wedding or graduation. wish i could go back to my past. not to change anything, just to live it twice. it's easy to get lost in the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. however, remember not to live in the past forever. focus on the present. spread love and kindness. create new memories that are beautiful. those memories will live on forever in our hearts. a quote that kept going through my mind while creating this piece: "i wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you've actually left them." -andy bernard <3 details: digital painting 4104 x 5123 (4k+) 400 ppi 1100+ layers 49.8 mb .png ᓚᘏᗢ
