This work got its title from a series of large acrylic paintings I created in the late 1980s. Those paintings incorporated tropical reef fish with one of my mysterious shamanistic figures and sold out in short order. Over the years, I have returned to the theme from time to time, and now the concept of the cryptocurrency whale has brought it around again. The period in which I painted the original paintings was fun, but not nearly as much as now, when I have all the fabulous tools of digital art-making at my disposal. My aim is to invite your participation in resolving the cognitive dissonance presented and, through your engagement, actually finish the work.
