The Maneki-neko (招き猫, lit. 'beckoning cat', circa 17th century) is a common Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. The golden cat means wealth and prosperity, the left paw raised invites business related prosperity, and holding a coin means wealth and material abundance. Merging iconography of the past and future, this lucky cat will bring it's owner untold riches!
