Windows in Arches National Park can be difficult to capture art.
Of course the average art can be captured but how do we find different art.
Web 3 is about special art. I had to scout locations based on Moon cycle. This part of Utah has basically zero rain. So weather was not a factor. Hiking to Delicate Arch is what everyone does. Even at night the Astro scene up there gets intense.
Mapping things out I decided to check out this hole that look exactly like an eyeball. This arch was small and next to Windows Arch few miles off the roadway.
Near 100 Degrees this day and I couldn't wait till nightfall.
I looked on my app to see where Moon Rise placement would be. The moon was lining up nicely for this location. It was not a full moon as I'd imagine this window would not fit a full. Maybe if I pulled it back but even then I say no.
App lined up right as the Moon was coming up right at dawn. Positioned myself back around 50 yards. Avoided all human contact. Mainly because everyone follows there. Its a National Park so I understand why and have no problem. But I want to create art not chat. Trust me I've missed images by chatting away.
Set up my tripod waited 45 min with sounds of People far away. The night sky brings me so much peace.
My camera was on 30 Frames per second mode with lens on Lost aperture to open up light with image.
This was my only chance. I had no plan B. This was it or not. Either get the shot or go sleep and try again the next day.
Paid off big time. This 1/1 image has the smallest arch with half moon inside of it. Art can be tricky and I want to keep thriving above the rest. Being different is key with Photography.
