When one wave reminds me why I exist
From the deepness of my lifes true moments was spent int the ocean. This wave is a Spot Called Keiki Beach. One of the iconic waves on the North Shore of Oahu.
The 7 Mile Miracle is what they call in. For good reason. Surfers from around the globe make there way here every winter to surf. Riding waves at the highest levels.
Breaks Like Waimea Bay to Banzai Pipeline
Waves that have written history through out the sport of wave riding. Oahu North Shore is the Mecca of all Waves on the planet. The most competitive field comes here. If you can ride waves here is when they are known to be legit wave riders.
I myself had to rise up this pecking order. Being a professional Bodyboarder I took the leap into the wave riding arena from 1994. My very first Contest at 14 yrs old. I sucked and loss after two heats haha. But it fed fuel to the fire in me.
I thought to myself I need to catch the biggest wave on this planet. Mother earth is so alive.
She brought me some very big waves along with some very big injuries. But that is the process.
Before I get rambling away like a caffeinated person I must share this location.
Keiki Beach is right after Sharks Cove.
The point is a magnet for big waves.
This wave was large to fit a SUV in it. Very big!
The textures on the wave face is why I love this wave. Shows the meaning behind my waterworld adventures.
Name Curl came because the name Rip Curl was from the shape of a Wave as it barrels.
