I have experience a lot in my lifetime but this one had me in tears.
Mike Coots is a Shark Attack Survivor. His leg is gone from the very same animal you see in this video.
Mike was attacked by a tiger shark Surfing on Kauai. He nearly died due to do this event.
Full circle recovery with Him Facing Fear
He now advocates for Sharks and has taken time to learn how they react. Also how we as humans interact with Sharks.
It is not only Courage but much more than that. It has been life changing for him and all of us around him. I have seen how much work he puts in waking up everyday.
Mike still Surfs and Fishes daily. He lives an active Lifestyle and never takes a minute for granted.
We will continue to help educate Humans about Sharks. Hollywood and the Movie Jaws did not help Sharks in anyway shape or form.
Sharks are very shy animals and only hunt in desperation. Most places are now overfished for profits which is why we see Sharks get aggressive in certain regions.
Tiger Sharks have been very active in Hawaii as of late due to this very reason. Overfishing and illegal fishing happens in our waters.
The eco system is not prepared for that and we have to try managing their food source so they do not come close in to shore looking for a snack.
Humans are not on the food chain. They see us as a potential seal. Which is why most times they attack and retract.
Tiger sharks swim extremely fast and when we are with them in open ocean they're on cruise control.
