All Aboard My Emptiness

ETERNITY WITHOUT ANY THICKNESS: Art, like a river, needs to follow its own course. It needs to be thought of as flowing in the world through the universes. It was with tenderness that I discovered this source. I saw it born from my eyes, transforming into a stream from which I always drank. It dammed into a lake, patiently waiting until the day it burst, exploding into a strong and powerful river, with torrents and fierce tributaries that fed on it, gaining tributaries and touching mills, even in the face of the sun and drought. With the right will, I will pour into the soul of the world, never to be forgotten, until the last man. Mimetically inserted in spaces of questions, coloring tears, filling voids, loneliness, conquering places, occupying gaps, and generating more life. Those who create their work for themselves do not understand this. I make my work for others, because in the end, nothing passes without it being only me. Even Kant, Einstein, Jesus, and others. All of them in me. To make for others is the most subtle, empathetic, and delicate way to speak about myself. When only the work remains, it needs to be able to communicate. It needs to be able to create its own connections. It needs to spread around the world, showing the size of my will, which has always been greater than myself. To prove my love. For art and for others. I finish my work and say to them: "Go ahead! You know what to do. It takes courage, but you'll make it. Be strong, make friends, say yes, love madly, and above all, never forget the beauty wherever you go." And I let them go. They no longer belong to me. I would hate to be the kind of artist who only exists through the maintenance of their memory, done by some bureaucratic foundation. That makes no sense to me. If I fall into this limbo, know that I have erred. And in that case, I would like to be forgotten so as not to end up hindering true art. That's why I want to be legitimized by subjectivities, to make my home in people's hearts, to make the necessary sense, which I myself do not know. In people who have not yet been born. They will perhaps tell their stories; they will be in love and make love triangles with my work. That's it! A way of loving and being loved without knowing, without needing approval or approval. These people will have other problems and perhaps not keep much or any relation to mine. But in the depth of a dive, we will meet and know exactly that the surface is different, but we feel absolutely the same pain, no matter the variables. I think I can do that. I think I will. Pay attention! I may even be a madman, but a madman who paints and writes and doesn't care much about anything that doesn't have to do with life, beauty, and art. I will continue to live in art, in the fullness of a dreamless sleep, stretched out over eternity without any thickness, like a sheet of gold. // Oil on Canvas handmade painted by Susano Correia.
