Look Away

"Look Away" is the first artwork of the "Lacrima" series. With a name Inspired from the Latin word for tear, the "Lacrima" series covers the duality of life, the contrast between the tears of pain and the tears of joy, expressed through gloomy atmospheres of caliginous, surrealist scenes. "Look Away" covers a story about a character fearing to face life with all of its obstacles and challenges. A life that is represented by a riderless horse holding the key to the bright future, a future peaking through a crack in the locked door. As time passes by the character realises the unbearable truth, he writes a note saying "I am my demon" as he takes away and burns his eyes.
