Waarp: The artist who enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time

Andrea Marcias was born, grows and live in his beloved Sardinia Island.

His education is anything but artistic, the search for the best vehicle to express his artistic need carries on since he was a kid, first with the drawing then with music.

The real revelation was the digital art and in particular the 3D one.

Andrea approached this world first as a simple spectator and then as an active participant under the pseudonym of Waarp. He is now a visual artist and digital modeler of vibrant graphics. The style of his work is aesthetically influenced by moods from space and the human form. The pictures he paints are totally transcendental, extending beyond the limits of what is tangible in our world. Alternative yet beautiful creation seems to be the brand Waarp brings forth to the realm of digital artistry. Each image is buffed, glistened, and polished to its final state of refinement that they draw viewers into believing in something truly extraordinary. Surreal beings walk the planes of existence in the fanciful worlds he creates so elaborately, they make audiences think such places exist flung somewhere past this atmosphere. The sentient forms are molded conscientiously with each detail perfected with an inner meaning. The artistic mind of Waarp is promising for a future of innovative concepts and seeing them come to magnificent fruition.

He strove to find the best workflow according to his needs.

There is not a single thread that unites his works and he prefers to vary the mood day by day, letting himself be guided simply by improvisation.

Often, elements of the science fiction imaginary return to which he has always been passionate.

The inspiration can be just an image seen in a movie, a line read in a book, an artwork from one of his favorite artists and sometimes it happens that putting a record Waarp begins to work and literally create instincts guided by music.

The New Thinker
Edition 1 of 1

The summary of his style and stylistic expression is fully recognized in one of his most recognized works: The New Thinker. Like The Thinker, one of the most well-known sculptures by French artist Auguste Rodin can be interpreted as something that the artist opposes the entire universe, Homo sapiens as opposed to nature and primitive life, The New Thinker by Waarp merges himself with the surrounding universe (ethereal and infinite) in the most natural way possible. He abandons himself to the spirit to fulfill himself in the form of a God.
