WIZARDSKULL is an artist living and working in Brooklyn NY. As a teenager he started skateboarding, and immersed himself in the subculture by designing t-shirts and skateboard graphics, and skateboarding in local shop videos. His artwork has been featured on over 200+ skateboard graphics for companies from Norway, Russia, England, and all over the US and rest of the world. Both he and his art have appeared in numerous skateboard magazines including Thrasher.

Adopting the moniker of Wizard Skull and abandoning freelance design work, he began wheat pasting his art all around New York. One of his most often wheat pastes was “Sexy Ronald”, a buff version of Ronald McDonald wearing only underwear with fries popping out of them. People began photographing and sharing images of it on social media which led to the image going viral several times and getting bootlegged, then sold on t-shirts in Thailand. This also led to his art being exposed to a larger audience.

Pre smartphone, WizardSkull began wheat pasting Sexy Ronald everywhere across Brooklyn and Manhattan. From there people began photographing him and he has spread across the world. He’s been made into toys, tshirts, backpacks, posters and stickers. People have gotten tattoos, and cosplayed as him. Fans of Sexy Ronald have photographed and reported seeing him being sold on shirts and stickers by street vendors in Thailand, Indonesia, and South Africa to date. He has been made into countless viral memes and he even has his own song by American Folklore.

“The first series of piece’s I decided to release on SuperRare were some throwbacks from 2014 “Rappers and Cats,” true WizardSkull classics, a great opportunity for the early collectors. In the history of western civilization no other genre of music has created such a magnitude of lyrical content about cats. From Kanye West stating “I put the pussy in the sarcophagus” on his “My Beautiful Dark Twisted” album, a reference to how he shares a love and respect for cats much like ancient Egyptians who would mummify their cats to be buried with them; to the more simplistic lyrics such as Eazy E proclaiming “I love pussy and pussy loves me.” This series is a celebration of rappers and their love of cats.”

WizardSkull’s art has been featured in official Disney, Mattel, Peanuts, and Hello Kitty group art shows. As well as showing paintings at Jan Arnold Gallery(Vienna) Meltdown Comics(LA), Mishka 350 Broadway(NYC), The Cotton Candy Machine(NYC), La Luz de Jesus(LA), Mortal Machine(NOLA), Secret Fresh(Philippines) and more. Some of the WizardSkull art shows and zines have garnered the attention of the press and been featured on Vice, Huck, Thrasher Magazine, Huffington Post, Maxim, Yahoo News, Gothamist.
