Up in Smoke

Stormageddon 2023 in Los Angeles was one for the record books with rare blizzard warnings along the mountain ranges of Southern California. A window of opportunity allowed me to capture this time-lapse right after a massive storm and just before another rolled in. The industrial refinery emits steam in the early am hours as the city wakes up. The sun plays peek-a-boo behind the clouds as it illuminates the scene. The low clouds begin to burn off revealing insane snow levels on the San Gabriel Mountains. A perfect harmony of city and nature come together to showcase the best of both worlds.
