They drew me neat the first time,
all clean lines, no mess,
good girl pressed flat on the page.
Then the ink went feral.
It slipped its borders,
The old Singer woke up in the corner,
metal throat rattling,
needle coming down like bad weather.
I fed the spill under its foot,
glitch-light sparking in the seams
every time the needle bit.
Stitches climbed my ribs like a new language
till my old shape came loose.
Ink, glitch, stitches,
unmake me, remake me.
Good girl cut off at the edge.
Ink, glitch, stitches,
pattern burned, body switching —
I walk out wearing what I am.
