“Midnight Indulgence” is the thrill of creating in its purest form. As the night takes over, new opportunities arise that are impossible in the bright light of day. In the cover of darkness art becomes more free and more daring. This image is a light in that darkness. The scene was perfectly clear in my head. The concept of this series is to build something beautiful from nothing, so I waited until the streets had gifted me an unusual prop. I was waiting for something very specific. In this case, a full sized refrigerator was left on a Hollywood sidewalk waiting to be picked up by junkers. Luckily it fit in the back of my car and we were off to our location. By nightfall, the watchful eyes of society have gone to sleep and mischief indulges in the shadows. Shooting a nude model in the middle of the city is risky but at midnight, art is truly anything you can get away with.
