This work stems from the need to translate one of the drawings from my personal journal. It was a creative process that involved not pre-visualizing the color choices, so I discovered the work as I painted it. When it came to transferring it to the canvas, something about the composition didn't quite work, so I reworked the original, and it completely changed the meaning.
