inspired by the late ’90s science fiction film The Matrix and its ideas surrounding simulated reality, conformity, and individuals unknowingly operating within systems designed to control them.
this piece explores the feeling of living inside an artificial reality, where people can become extensions of the systems around them, carrying out functions without questioning the larger structure they exist within. the imagery also draws from the growing presence of AI and autonomous AI agents, and the increasingly blurred line between human agency and systems capable of observing, influencing, and acting on our behalf.
created with my Neon Dreamscape custom-trained model on Titles.xyz, trained on a selection of my own artwork from the Neon Dreamscape series. i created 100+ works in this series throughout 2025, building a visual language around surreal, futuristic worlds and using that body of work to train the model.
